Each year, we hold auditions to identify young artists with exceptional potential.

Audition performances are measured against a standard of excellence and not against each other. The juries look not only for exceptional musical talent, but also for artistic individuality and projection as a performer. No set number of artists are selected in any one year.

Selected YCAT artists will also benefit from our exciting partnership with Concert Artists Guild in New York. This will bring unparalleled visibility, opportunities and support for artists on both sides of the Atlantic.

Selected artists will receive:

  • Management - 3-5 years of developmental and holistic management

  • Performance - Strategic diary of engagements secured worldwide (selected joint artists, in collaboration with Concert Artists Guild)

  • Exposure - Regular marketing to 5,000+ promoters and concert halls worldwide

  • Branding - High-quality publicity materials and professional photo shoots

  • Digital - Comprehensive social media and website consultation and support

  • Media - Live recordings of recitals at Wigmore Hall

UK-based semi-finalists will also be considered for inclusion in the UK Artists Directory.

If you're considering applying to audition, we strongly recommend you download our Audition Preparation Pack as a guide, prior to commencing your online application.

All applications must be submitted via the Muvac portal. You will first need to create a free account and then select the correct application form to apply (see ‘Apply to Audition’). We are unable to accept any applications sent directly to YCAT.
