*CORONAVIRUS* Last updated 16 March
We are currently following the ongoing advice given by Public Health England about COVID-19 and as such our audition deadline remains the same (Friday 27 March, 5pm).
However, we appreciate that some musicians may be struggling to record new video material due to current circumstances. We are therefore relaxing the repertoire requirements to accept video material recorded after 29 May 2018. The rest of the application requirements remain the same.
We are currently considering alternatives to the live semi-final and final audition rounds, in the event that these are unable to take place. All successful applicants will be updated accordingly.
Each year, we hold auditions to identify young artists with exceptional potential.
From this year, all selected artists will benefit from the exciting new partnership with Concert Artists Guild in New York. This will bring unparalleled visibility, opportunities and support for artists on both sides of the Atlantic.
Audition performances are measured against a standard of excellence and not against each other. The juries look not only for exceptional musical talent, but also for artistic individuality and projection as a performer. No set number of artists are selected in any one year.
Selected artists will receive:
Management - 3-5 years of international management (jointly with Concert Artists Guild in North America)
Exposure - Regular marketing to 5,000+ promoters and concert halls worldwide
Branding - High-quality publicity materials and professional photo shoots
Performance - Manage and secure a strategic diary of engagements worldwide including guaranteed performances at YCAT Wigmore Hall Lunchtime Series and at Merkin Concert Hall in New York
Media - Live recordings of selected performances
