Petar Pejčić tours the UK

Petar Pejčić

YCAT cellist Petar Pejčić, winner of the 2025 YCAT International Auditions and an ECHO Rising Star for 2026-27, tours the UK this autumn with Moroccan pianist Nour Ayadi. They open in Perth with a twentieth-century programme built around Shostakovich's Cello Sonata in D minor, alongside works by Nadia Boulanger, Britten and Rostropovich. The remaining recitals turn to 'Heimweh' (Longing for Home), a programme framed by Chopin's Introduction and Polonaise brillante and his Cello Sonata in G minor, taking in Dvořák's Silent Woods as well as other favourites.
