On Wednesday 3 June 2020 the accordionist Samuele Telari was announced as a winner of the Italian contemporary group The Divertimento Ensemble’s #istayathome and #iplayforyou competition. The prize will include a recital as part of the Divertimento Ensemble’s Rondò series in Milan in 2021.

The Divertimento Ensemble was formed in 1977 in Milan by leading soloists committed to exploring and performing contemporary music with their artistic director Sandro Gorli.  They have had over 100 new compositions dedicated to, and commissioned by them. Since 2012 the ensemble has been a member of the European Ulysses network which brings together 13 renowned institutions involved in the support and promotion of young artists.
