YCAT 2009 Auditions Underway

30th January 2009

This year's YCAT audition process has now kicked off with a record number of applicants.

The first rounds are taking place from the 9th to 13th February at the Royal Academy of Music. Categories this year are piano, strings, voice, wind/brass and ensembles. After the first round, a select number of applicants will be invited to appear again in our semi-finals taking place 30th and 31st March at the National Opera Studios in front of a wide ranging multi-discipline specialist jury.
The culmination the 2009 audition process is the YCAT Public Final to be held at Wigmore Hall on Friday 15th May. There will be two sessions, afternoon and evening, after which a panel of music industry experts will make their selection of artists and ensembles who they feel will benefit most from the nurturing management service that YCAT offers. Any updated information about the artists chosen to appear in the final, as well as those who are subsequently selected for representation will be available on the website.

Any other information about the process, ticket requests, programme information can requested by filling out the web enquiry form.
