The Young Concert Artists Trust manages and promotes a number of exceptional classical voice soloists including Helen Sherman, Caroline MacPhie and Kathryn Rudge.

  • Kathryn Rudge

    Kathryn Rudge Born in 1986 in Liverpool, in 2004 Kathryn Rudge took up a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music with Susan Roper, graduating in 2008 with 1st Class Bmus (Hons). In 2010 she was selected for representation by Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT). This summer she completed her postgraduate studies achieving a PGDip (Dist.) and in the autumn joins the RNCM International Artist Diploma scheme.

  • Caroline MacPhie

    Caroline MacPhie 6 Born in Lancashire, in 2009 Caroline MacPhie completed her studies with Noelle Barker and Audrey Hyland on the Royal Academy of Music Opera course, graduating with distinction. Prior to this she studied French and German at Bristol University and was a postgraduate at the Royal Northern College of Music studying with Caroline Crawshaw. In 2009 she was selected for representation by Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT).

  • Helen Sherman

    Helen Sherman 5 Born in Australia, Helen Sherman studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Following her success in the 2007 Australian Singing Competition she was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Northern College of Music to study with Peter Wilson where she was the first to be awarded the International Artists Diploma in Opera (sponsored by the Zochonis Charitable Trust).

Adrian Ward

Adrian Ward trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying with Rudolf Piernay and Adrian Thompson, graduating with distinction in 2008. In 2008 he won the Royal Over-Seas League vocal section prize. He currently studies with Paul Farrington.

On graduating Adrian immediately joined Scottish Opera covering the role of Tonik in their production of Smetana‘s The Two Widows. In 2009 he sung the solo role of Autumn in Glyndebourne Festival Opera’s production of Purcell's The Fairy Queen conducted by William Christie and covered the role of the Sailor in Tristan und Isolde. This autumn he joined Glyndebourne Touring Opera covering the role of Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte).

Over the last year Adrian has given recitals at Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, King's Place and the Brighton Festival and appeared as soloist with the Aachen Symphony Orchestra at the Theatre Royale de la Monnaie in Brussels and with the London Mozart Players at Cadogan Hall.
