One of the leading British violinists of the younger generation, Thomas Gould combines a busy solo career with orchestral leading and directing. As concerto soloist Thomas has performed in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, and throughout the United Kingdom with conductors including Boris Brott, Nicholas Collon, Michael Francis, Nicholas Kraemer, John Rutter and Robin Ticciati.
Born in Philadelphia in 1984, from 1997 Bartholomew LaFollette was a pupil at the Yehudi Menuhin School. In 2003 he won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he continued his studies with Louise Hopkins, graduating in 2008.
Described by the Financial Times in 2009 as ‘one of those rare musicians who makes you unaware of technique - and eager to hear again’, Pei-Jee Ng was born in Sydney and grew up in Adelaide studying at the Elder Conservatorium with Janis Laurs and Barbara Yelland.
Philip Higham is rapidly emerging as one of the most prominent young cellists from the UK. In 2008 he won 1st Prize in the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig (the first British prize winner since the competition began in 1950), and in 2009 1st Prize in the International Lutoslawski Cello Competition in Warsaw.
