Described by The Daily Telegraph as ‘in a class of his own’ James Baillieu has been the prize-winner of the Wigmore Hall Song Competition, Das Lied International Song Competition, Kathleen Ferrier and Richard Tauber Competitions. Over the last year he has recorded for BBC Radio 3 with the Elias Quartet and Allan Clayton while giving solo and chamber recitals throughout Europe and further afield, collaborating with singers Jared Holt, Gerard Collett, Sir Thomas Allen, Katherine Broderick, Martene Grimson, Jacques Imbrailo, Sarah-Jane Brandon and Kishani Jayasinghe.
Selected by YCAT in 2008, Alexandra immediately went on to win the Ravel Prize at the International Academy in France. Born in Romania, Alexandra studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, graduating with first class honours in 2008. Last autumn she commenced her Masters at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Ronan O'Hora.

Daniel de Borah

Born in Melbourne Daniel studied at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire and with Tatyana Sarkissova at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with distinction in 2006. He was selected for representation by YCAT in 2005.
Over the last two years Daniel has given recitals at major venues and festivals throughout the UK, including Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall and the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. He has appeared as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Barbican and Cadogan Hall and with the Jenaer Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany.
Daniel has also appeared widely in Australia, Russia and Europe. Future plans include debut concerts with the English Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players and at Canberra Festival.
Alexander Romanovsky

Described by Carlo Maria Giulini as ‘extraordinarily gifted’, Alexander Romanovsky is a riveting, individual and subtle performer with an utterly engaging voice.
At the age of seventeen, he won 1st Prize in the Busoni Competition in Italy and since 2007 has released two critically acclaimed CDs with the Decca label of music by Schumann, Brahms and Rachmaninov. He already has an established international profile, appearing at major festivals and venues throughout Europe and further afield in Japan and the USA.
This season Alexander's engagements include appearances as soloist with the Mariinsky Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev in the Mariinsky Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, with the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Michael Pletnev in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Barbican in London. He returns to Wigmore Hall on 7 March and on 24 April, gives recitals at the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg, the Busoni (Italy), Colmar (France) and East Neuk (Scotland) Festivals and in Palermo and Bologna. In April he performs and records the Glazunov Concerti Nos.1 and 2 with the Russian National Orchestra conducted by José Serebrier. Future plans include appearances as soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and the National Philharmonic of Russia (with Vladimir Spivakov).
Born in the Ukraine in 1984, Alexander studied at the Kharkov Special Music School, with Leonid Margarius at the Imola Piano Academy in Italy and from 2007 at the Royal College of Music in London with Dmitri Alexeev.
