About The YCAT Auditions

These take place once a year, in three stages. The auditions are open to all instruments and voice but the categories vary each year. Those auditioning measure their performance against a standard of excellence and not against each other. The distinguished juries look not only for exceptional musical talent, but also for artistic individuality and projection as a performer. No set number of musicians is selected in any one year.

When selected, the artist will receive a full artist management service from YCAT for a minimum of three years, after which it is hoped that the artist can then move on to commercial international representation.

The selected artists will also receive specific presentation concert opportunities at major venues in order to introduce them to a wider concert audience.
